Article 24 [Desistance] Where an offender discontinues the commission of a crime or effectively prevents the occurrence of the consequences of a crime, it constitutes desistance from crime.
For an offender of a desisted crime, punishment shall be exempted if no damage has been done, and shall be mitigated if damage has been done.
