Article 164 [Bribing Non-Public Officials, Foreign Public Officials, or Officials of International Public Organizations] A person who, for the purpose of seeking illegitimate benefits, pays bribes to an employee of a company, enterprise, or other entity or to imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than ten years and a fine if the amount is significant.
A person who, for the purpose of seeking illegitimate benefits, pays bribes to a foreign public official or an official of an international public organization
Where an entity commits any of the offenses stipulated in the preceding two paragraphs, the entity shall be sentenced to a fine, and the directly responsible chief and other directly responsible individuals of the entity shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of the first paragraph.
A briber who confesses their bribery of their own initiative before being prosecuted may be given attenuated penalties or exempted from penalties.
