Article 58 [Calculation of Term, Effect, and Execution of Deprivation of Political Rights] The term of deprivation of political rights as an accessory penalty shall be counted from the date of completion of imprisonment or custody, and the effect of deprivation of political rights shall naturally be applied during the execution of the principal penalty.
An offender who is deprived of their political rights shall comply with laws, administrative regulations, and the supervisory and administrative rules of the public security authority under the State Council and submit to supervision during the execution period, and shall not exercise any of the rights enumerated in Article 54 of this Law.
