Article 135 [Causing a Major Accident in Work or Public Event] Where the facilities or conditions for safe production do not comply with national regulations, resulting in major casualties or other serious consequences, the directly responsible chief and other directly responsible individuals shall be sentenced to imprisonment of not more than three years or custody, or to imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years if the offense is committed under particularly serious circumstances.
