Article 88 [Extension of Statute of Limitations] Where an offender evades investigation or trial after their case has been filed by a people's procuratorate, police authority, or national security authority for investigation or accepted by a people's court for trial, the statute of limitations for prosecution shall not apply to the case.
Where a victim has requested to file a criminal case within the statute of limitations, but the people's court, people's procuratorate, or police authority should have but refused to file a case, the statute of limitations for prosecution shall not apply to the case.
