Article 167 [being cheated for dereliction of duty in signing and performing contracts] The directly responsible chief of a State-owned company, enterprise, or public institution who, in the process of entering into or performing a contract, is defrauded due to gross negligence, shall be sentenced to imprisonment of not more than three years or custody if significant damage is incurred to the national interests thereby, or to imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years if particularly significant damage is incurred to the national interests thereby.
