Article 3 The police authority shall be responsible for the investigation, detention, execution of arrests, and pre-trial proceedings in criminal cases.
The procuratorial authority shall be responsible for the procuratorial work, approval of arrests, and investigation and prosecution of cases directly accepted by itself.
The people's court shall be responsible for the trial of cases.
Except as otherwise provided by law, no other institution, organization, or individual has the right to exercise such powers.
Any people's court, people's procuratorate, and police authority shall strictly abide by the applicable provisions of this Law and other laws in criminal proceedings.
